Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the Athletizer mobile application or website. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Athletizer.
By accessing, registering for, or using the Athletizer platform (the "Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Athletizer.
Athletizer is a platform for discovering and joining casual pickup football games. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Athletizer. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you may not use the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at infoathletizer@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You are responsible for your behaviour at any game booked through Athletizer. All participants are expected to:
Violations may result in removal from a game, suspension, or permanent ban from the platform at our discretion.
Entry fees for games are processed securely by Stripe (card, Apple Pay and Google Pay) or PayPal. By making a payment, you also agree to the terms of the payment provider you use.
Football is a contact sport. Even when everyone plays fairly and every precaution is taken, injuries happen: sprains, strains, fractures, head knocks and, rarely, more serious injury. These risks come from the nature of the game itself, from contact with other players, the ball, the playing surface, goals, fences and other equipment, and from the weather and lighting. Please only book if you understand and accept these risks.
Your health and fitness. By booking a game you confirm that you are in good enough health and physical condition to play competitive, physical football. If you have a medical condition, injury or any doubt about your fitness, speak to a doctor before you play. Do not play while injured, unwell, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and stop playing straight away if you feel unwell or get hurt.
Playing safely. While at a game you must:
Hosts may stop a game or remove a player at any time for safety reasons. Breaking these rules may lead to removal from the game without a refund, suspension or a permanent ban.
Responsibility for your own conduct. You are responsible for your own actions on the pitch. If you injure another player through a dangerous or reckless challenge, or otherwise through your own fault, any liability for that injury is yours, not Athletizer's. If your own failure to follow these Terms or the instructions of the host or venue contributes to an injury you suffer, that may reduce any compensation you could otherwise claim.
Reporting an injury. If you are injured at a game, tell the host before you leave the venue, and email us at infoathletizer@gmail.com within 48 hours with what happened. This helps us look after you, record the incident properly and prevent it happening again.
Insurance is your own responsibility. Athletizer does not provide personal accident or medical insurance for players. It is a condition of booking that you hold adequate personal liability and personal accident insurance and that it is in force at the time you play. Neither Athletizer's insurance (where held) nor a venue's insurance will pay out for injuries that happen through the ordinary risks of the game or the actions of other players without anyone being at fault.
Venues. Games take place at venues owned and run by independent third parties, not by Athletizer. You must follow each venue's rules while on its property, including any policy on footwear, conduct, spectators and access, and you may be asked to accept the venue's own terms or waiver. A venue may refuse admission to anyone who does not. The venue, its owners and its staff are not responsible for injuries arising from the ordinary risks of playing football or from the actions of other players; nothing in these Terms limits any responsibility a venue has for its own negligence.
What we are responsible for. We will organise and run games with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that of our hosts or staff, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
What we are not responsible for. Subject to the paragraph above, Athletizer is not liable for:
Where we are liable to you for a loss that is not death or personal injury, our total liability for any one game is limited to the amount you paid for that game.
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of these Terms will continue to apply.
All content on the Athletizer platform — including the app, website, logo, design, and text — is owned by Athletizer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.
You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
Your use of Athletizer is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of Athletizer after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
